INFORMATION FOR PERSONNEL REPORTING ABOARD VW-1 (CONT'D)


25. OFFICER'S CLUB:

The officers club is located behind BOQ "A" as shown on the enclosed map. The club office hours are from 0900 to 1700 daily. The bar is open from 1130 to 2330 daily. Sundays and holidays 1200 to 2330. The dining room is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and open from 1800 to 2030 Wednesday through Saturday. Sundays and holidays 1800 to 2000. The package store is open 0900 to 2200 daily, closed Sunday. The snack bar is open 1100 to 1400 and 1700 to 2330 daily. Sundays and holidays, 1200 to 1430 and 1700 to 2330. Bingo games are held every Sunday evening at 2015. Happy hours on Wednesday 1700 to 1800 and Friday 1700 to 1900.

Dress is coat and tie, uniform of the day, or aloha shirts with non-military slacks.

26. PASSES:

The Personnel Office of VW-1 will issue and validate necessary chow, liberty and I.D. cards. P.I.D. card applications are obtained from the Personnel Office and turned into the security office for issuing. The P.I.D. card is good for admitting dependants to the following facilities. Gasoline, medical, library, bowling, swimming, tennis, commissary store, QM stores, theater, restaurant, exchange and entering the base. Car passes are obtained from the station security office, and before issuance your insurance policy must be shown, and must indicated that at least $5000/$10,000 public liability and $5000 property damage is covered by the owner.

27. PLAN OF THE DAY:

VW-1 plan of the day is published daily showing the duty sections, movie for the day, and other pertinent information concerning the day's activities. This, together with other pertinent official and recreational information is posted on the crews and officers bulletin boards. The squadron flight schedule is printed on the back of the plan of the day.

28. POOL:

The enlisted men's pool is located just off Franklin ave. in front of the dispensary. The hours from September to March are 1000 to 1730 and from March to September, 1000 to 2100.

The officers pool is located on the extreme east side of the base. To get there follow Roosevelt ave. past Gate #2 and about 1/2 mile past Gate #3, on the west side of the road. The hours are from 1000 to 1730 from September to March, and 1000 to 2100 from March to September.

29. RECREATION GEAR:

The squadron maintains a recreational and athletic gear issue room at which the following gear is available: softballs, gloves, bats, balls, volley balls, footballs, basketballs, waterpole balls, handballs, tennis and badmitton rackets, shuttlecocks, volleyball nets, boxing gloves and horseshoes. Articles will only be issued and turned in during normal working hours unless they are specifically checked out for the weekend or holiday use, in which case they will be turned in immediately after quarters the first working day following issue.
