1964 through April of 1965 include flights that were in the combat zone. These flights typically originated and
terminated in the Philippines and were given flight codes of 3Q7 or 3Q5. When flying under night instrument
conditions the flight codes were 4Q7 or 4Q5. VW-1 Was not permitted to list them as combat missions (coded "X")
until May of 1965.
