- A photo of TE-00 at Kobler Field on Saipan, around 1960? My parents were civilian teachers working for the
Navy and we lived on Saipan from 58-62. I have always had a fondness for Connies and admired my father's photo
of this aircraft. I didn't know anything about this plane and it had never occurred to me that I might be able
to research the history of that specific plane. I just discovered your great website and made the connection
with that plane. Did some online research and found out quite a lot of the history of this beauty. Great job on
the website. I really enjoyed all the photos of Guam and the unit.

- Picture of 145930 as TE-8 flying by Mt. Fuji. This photo of a painting by a Japanese artist
depicts this aircraft prior to June of 1960 when VW-1 absorbed VW-3. This aircraft was given the side number of
TE-6 after June of 1960. I Found under a pile of pictures etc. at my desk. I acquired this picture at one of
the VW-1 reunions, from Chuck Johnson VW-1 68-70.
