Darold Roy Borrowman, Age 77 of Burnsville, MN passed away peacefully on May 30, 09. Born April 11, 1932 to Roy and Mildred Borrowman in Hannibal, Missouri.
Survived by loving, wife of 52 & a half years, Mary; sons, Adam (Barbara), Irik (Tracy); grandchildren, Nolan, Kendall, Mitchell, Ethan and Cambell. Darold's career was full working for Burlington Northern Railroad. He was in the U.S. Navy (Flight Engineer, Storm Chaser in Korean War and Retired from the Naval reserves as a CPO, North Central Airlines/Republic Airlines and the Federal Aviation Administration. Darold obtained his A & P Education at the Spartan School of Engineering.
Memberships, American Legion Post 1776 (Apple Valley), International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers. VW-1 All Hands Alumni Association (Typhoon Trackers). Darold loved fishing, hunting, golfing, aviation, travel, spending time with family and friends. Darold leaves a huge void in our lives and will be dearly missed by all.
Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Faith Covenant Church 12921 Nicollet Ave. S., Burnsville. A gathering of family and friends one hour prior to service at church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Disabled Veterans & Faith Covenant Church food outreach.
