THIS IS ONE OF THE ROOMS in Nimitz Hill's enlisted men's Barracks 3. This was the one remaining quonset but
still being used as a barracks before the typhoon.

COMPETITION has always been strong between the Army and Marines but once they were aboard, the result of
their teamwork, especially in the village field kitchens, proved immeasurably helpful to the people of Guam.
Army troops arrived on the USNS Sultan and the Marines were flown in from Hawaii.
FIRST ELEMENTS of Mike Company, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines debark at NAS on their mercy mission to Guam.
