INFORMATION FOR PERSONNEL REPORTING ABOARD VW-1


1. BARRACKS:

Barracks No. 64 is assigned to VW-1. It is located to the west of the Navy Exchange area. Bedding is aired on each Wednesday for the 1st and 3rd sections and each Thursday for the 2nd and 4th sections. The Lucky Bag is available at any time by contacting the MAA on duty. There are two pool tables in the barracks and other recreational gear may be checked out from the squadron athletic office or from the base Special Service Department.

2. BACHELOR OFFICER'S QUARTERS:

The BOQ office is located in BOQ "A". Officers may eat at the officer's mess located to the north of BOQ "A" by membership or by paying for the meal the following prices: Breakfast .55, Lunch .75, and Dinner .90. The monthly mess bill is approximately $50.00. Living quarters are BOQ's "A", "B" and "C". BOQ "B" is next to BOQ "A"; BOQ "C" is east of the Officer's Club on Franklin Ave.

3. BAQ AND FAMILY ALLOWANCES:

BAQ and family allowances forms may be obtained from the squadron personnel office. Personnel having more than one dependant are untitled to family alowances. These forms may be filled out in the squadron personnel office. After the application has been filled out, the applicant will take the form to the disbursing office.

4. BOWLING ALLEY:

The bowling alley is in front of the Exchange and is open daily from 1330 to 2230.

5. CHAPEL:

The chapel has just been completed, and is located between the Administration Building and the post office.

Protestant services are held at 0915 and 1015 with Sunday School at 0900.

Catholic Services are held:
Sunday Mass 0715, 0815, 1115
Daily Mass 0630
Saturday 0800
Confessions before all masses and on Saturday between 1830 and 1930.

The Chaplin's offices are: Protestant, north of the post office.
Catholic, south west of the bowling alleys.
